On 40 heading west, FLAT LANDS, cows, tumble weed, Got off in Vega TX it was like driving into a movie, A Saloon (photo) full services gas with no convince store, a cafe with two booths. abandon buildings, Heavy storm clouds (photo), huge wind farm, can see forever,
In NM now, starting to look like AZ . Peggy had to negotiate and big dust up and flying tumble weed in TX, truly and adventure to the west. Blue skyies a color not seen in Northeast.
Buck bought a cigar for you called Mooneshine crooks. I will get it to you ,
Oh by the way we are on the old RT 66 Neat as hell, Holy crap a tumble weed (tree) the size of a pickup just blew in front of us. Found Rush on the radio in NM ....We need to pick a handle for Peggy any sugestions ???
My turn now (Peggy here)............what a trip today was! A dust/sandstorm out of nowhere..........couldn't see a thing! And then tumbleweeds all over the place and then that tumbletown! It was so big . Now we're in New Mexico at the Flying J ranch and the winds are so bad that the birds look like they're suspended in midair.........they can't even fly anywhere! the dogs don't like it this windy............Mickey almost got blown away . I hope Albuquerque isn't as windy!
It is, Puck and Mickey got their first elevator ride at the hotel, Puck is still trying to figure that out.
